RESOLUTION 8809 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> APPROVING ADDITIONAL FUNDING FOR THE 2017 SEWER REHABILITATION PROJECT <br /> WHEREAS, the Mounds View City Council awarded a contract for the 2017 Sewer <br /> Rehabilitation Project (City Project No. 2017-008) to Insituform Technologies USA, LLC.; and, <br /> WHEREAS, Public Works staff completed additional investigation and cleaning and <br /> observed two pipe breaks and excessive groundwater infiltration in the sanitary sewer pipe; and, <br /> WHEREAS, lining an additional 1,078 feet of 8" liner and 326 feet of 10" liner in various <br /> parts of the City will greatly reduce the chances for additional emergency repairs; and, <br /> WHEREAS, there is sufficient funding available in the Sanitary Sewer Fund (730-4823- <br /> 7050) and the Storm Sewer Enterprise Fund (745-4415-5150) to add the additional lining to the <br /> contract with Insituform Technologies USA, LLC.; and, <br /> WHEREAS, Insituform has the capacity to complete this work in a timely manner. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, <br /> Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br /> 1. The lining of an additional 1,078 linear feet of 8" and 326 linear feet of 10" sanitary <br /> sewer pipes in various parts of Mounds View shall be added to the existing contract <br /> with Insituform Technologies USA, LLC. <br /> 2. The 2017 Sewer Rehabilitation Project funding is increased in the amount of <br /> $43,293.00, with a decrease in the contingency amount from $12,900.00 to <br /> $2,760.00. <br /> 3. Funding for the additional work shall be from the Sanitary Sewer Fund (730-4823- <br /> 7050) and the Storm Sewer Enterprise Fund (745-4415-5150) in the amount of <br /> $43,293.00. <br /> 4. The total cost for the 2017 slip-lining project, including the 2.1% contingency, shall not <br /> exceed of$174,996. <br /> Adopted this 14th day of August, 2017. <br /> 4,tit/ 14/(a_1/4,/ <br /> Carol A.
