Mounds View City Council November 14, 2016 <br />Regular Meeting Page 8 <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />E. Resolution 8657, Approve Request for Quotes for 2017 Mounds View <br />Boulevard Median Mowing Services. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause suggested the cost of labor for the application of mulch be <br />specified within the contract and that it be noted the City will be providing the mulch. Public <br />Works Director Erickson reported he would make this change to the contract. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Hull. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 8657, <br />Approve Request for Quotes for 2017 Mounds View Boulevard Median Mowing Services. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />9. JUST AND CORRECT CLAIMS <br /> <br />Finance Director Beer answered the Council's questions related to claims. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Mueller. To Approve the Just and Correct Claims as <br />presented. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />10. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />11. REPORTS <br />A. Reports of Mayor and Council. <br /> <br />Council Member Mueller stated she would be attending a conference at the League of Minnesota <br />Cities on Wednesday. She explained the training would be about how to manage contentious <br />meetings and appropriate ways to handle contentious crowds. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause reported NYFS was accepting nominations for candidates based on <br />their contributions to youth. He thanked Police Chief Harder for already submitting an <br />application based on the contributions of a Mounds View Police Officer. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause wished all Mounds View residents and staff a Happy <br />Thanksgiving. <br /> <br />Council Member Gunn stated there would be an I-35W Coalition meeting on Thursday. She <br />anticipated the group would be discussing project funding. <br />
