COUNCIL BUSINESS <br />A. 7:00 p.m. Public Hearing: Resolution 9506, Reapproving a Conditional Use <br />Permit for DellComm, located at 4860 Mustang Circle, to Erect a 150-Foot <br />Cell Tower. <br /> <br />City Administrator Ericson stated DellComm was requesting reapproval of a Conditional Use <br />Permit to erect a 150-foot cell tower at 4860 Mustang Circle. He noted the cell tower on their <br />property would be used for training purposes and for leasing out to local companies. He <br />discussed why action on the original Conditional Use Permit was delayed and recommended <br />approval of the request. <br /> <br />Acting Mayor Mueller opened the public hearing at 7:18 p.m. <br /> <br />Hearing no public input, Acting Mayor Mueller closed the public hearing at 7:18 p.m. <br /> <br />Jim Freichels, owner of DellComm at 4860 Mustang Circle, understood his Conditional Use <br />Permit process has gone on for some time. He explained there were a lot of hoops he needed to <br />jump through with the Federal government in order to erect the tower and use it for training <br />purposes. He provided further comment on the processes he had to go through with the DNR <br />and Native American tribes. He was pleased to report that after seven months of digging on the <br />site, he was now able to move forward. He thanked the City for working with him through this <br />entire process. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Meehlhause. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 9506, <br />Reapproving a Conditional Use Permit for DellComm, located at 4860 Mustang Circle, to Erect a <br />150-Foot Cell Tower. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />B. Resolution 8515, Appointing Gordy and Paul Fedor as the 2015 Mounds <br />View Citizen of the Year. <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Crane requested the Council appoint Gordy and Paul Fedor as the <br />2015 Mounds View Citizens of the Year. She noted the gentlemen will receive their award at the <br />March 21, 2016 Town Hall meeting. <br /> <br />Acting Mayor Mueller fully supported the nomination. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Meehlhause. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 8515, <br />Appointing Gordy and Paul Fedor as the 2015 Mounds View Citizens of the Year. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried.
