Reports of Mayor and Council. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause reported Northeast Youth and Family Services would be holding <br />their Service to Youth Awards on Thursday, February 11 th . He reviewed the 2016 award <br />winners. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause indicated he would be attending an NYFS executive committee <br />meeting on Friday, February 12 th . In addition, he would be attending a personnel committee <br />meeting for NYFS on Wednesday, February 17 th . <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause congratulated Irondale Nordic Ski Coach Chris Torvi’s daughter <br />Hannah Torvi for winning the Section 4 Championship. He wished her well at State. <br /> <br />Acting Mayor Mueller indicated the February 18 th League of Minnesota Cities Board of Directors <br />meeting has been canceled. <br /> <br />Acting Mayor Mueller stated the Ramsey County League of Local Government was having its <br />annual conversation with Ramsey County legislators on Thursday, February 25 th . Residents were <br />encouraged to forward their questions or comments to her. <br /> <br />Acting Mayor Mueller reported the Festival in the Park Committee would meet next on March, <br />15 th at City Hall. <br /> <br /> B. Reports of Staff. <br /> <br />City Administrator Ericson reported the City participated in the North Metro Home and Garden <br />Show at the National Sports Center. He indicated the event was very well attended and had a <br />large number of vendors present. He thanked Council Member Meehlhause and Craig Swalchick <br />for attending the event on behalf of the City. <br /> <br />Finance Director Beer updated the Council on the North Suburban Cable Commission. He <br />reported the Comcast franchise has had an administrative hearing with a law judge. This judge <br />ruled in favor of NSCC on all four issues being raised by Comcast. He anticipated additional <br />conversations will continue regarding the franchise, but was pleased that progress was being <br />made. <br /> <br />Acting Mayor Mueller was pleased that Mounds View residents would now have the option of <br />selecting CenturyLink as their cable provider. Further discussion ensued regarding the PRISM <br />services that would be offered through CenturyLink, along with the line certification process that <br />would have to be followed by CenturyLink. <br /> <br />Public Works Director Erickson updated the Council on the Silver View Park Trail. He <br />indicated attorneys have been in contact with each other regarding the easement concerns. He
