Resolution 8610, Authorizing Installation of cable for security cameras at <br />City Hall and the Community Center. <br /> <br />Finance Director Beer requested the Council authorize the purchase and installation of cable for <br />security cameras at City Hall and the Community Center. He indicated the Council has taken <br />steps over the last few years to improve security at the City’s facilities. The proposed location <br />for the cameras was discussed noting 23 cameras would be placed at the Community Center and <br />16 would be placed at City Hall. He reported the original budget for this project was $40,000. It <br />was noted the YMCA was willing to assist with the camera purchase and cable installation. He <br />commented an additional $12,000 would be needed to complete the project. Funds were <br />available in the Special Projects Fund to cover this overage. Staff recommended approval of the <br />installation of cable for security cameras at City Hall and the Community Center. <br /> <br />Council Member Mueller thanked Finance Director Beer for his work on this item and <br />appreciated the fact that shared revenues would be used for this project. <br /> <br />Council Member Mueller questioned if the new cameras would be able to be viewed remotely. <br />Finance Director Beer stated this was the case. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Meehlhause. To Approve the Consent Agenda as presented. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />9. JUST AND CORRECT CLAIMS <br /> <br />Finance Director Beer answered the Council's questions related to claims. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Flaherty/Gunn. To Approve the Just and Correct Claims as presented. <br />
