Mounds View City Council May 12, 2014 <br />Regular Meeting Page 5 <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Hull. To Continue the Public Hearing for Vino & Stoggies Off- <br />Sale Intoxicating Liquor License to the May 27, 2014 City Council Meeting. <br /> <br />Mayor Flaherty expressed concern with the local businesses not meeting the City’s deadlines for <br />their liquor licenses. He encouraged these businesses to have their paperwork and applications <br />completed in a more timely manner to ensure there are no delays on their liquor licenses. <br />Assistant City Administrator Crane reviewed the State’s liquor license approval process. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />C. 7:10 p.m. Public Hearing, Resolution 8259, a Resolution to Consider <br />Approval of an Off-Sale 3.2 Malt Liquor License for SuperAmerica, located <br />at 2640 County Road I. <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Crane stated that in accordance with City Code a public hearing was <br />required for all liquor licenses. She reported that SuperAmerica has submitted all necessary <br />application paperwork and fees. She recommended approval of the 3.2 Malt Liquor Intoxicating <br />Liquor License for SuperAmerica contingent upon a satisfactory compliance and criminal <br />background check from the BCA. It was noted the liquor license would be in effect from July 1, <br />2014 through June 30, 2015. <br /> <br />Mayor Flaherty opened the public hearing at 7:28 p.m. <br /> <br />Hearing no public input, Mayor Flaherty closed the public hearing at 7:28 p.m. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Mueller. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 8259, <br />a Resolution to Consider Approval of an Off-Sale 3.2 Malt Liquor License for SuperAmerica, <br />located at 2640 County Road I, contingent upon a satisfactory compliance and criminal <br />background check from the BCA. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />D. Resolution 8251, Adopting a Calendar for the Preparation of the 2015 <br />Budget. <br /> <br />Finance Director Beer stated City Charter requires the Council to approve a budget calendar. He <br />reviewed the calendar in further detail noting it would be published in the Mounds View Matters <br />and would be placed on the City’s website. Staff requested the Council adopt the proposed <br />calendar for the preparation of the 2015 budget. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Mueller. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 8251, <br />Adopting a Calendar for the Preparation of the 2015 Budget. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br />
