To Approve the Just and Correct Claims as presented. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />10. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />11. REPORTS <br />A. Reports of Mayor and Council. <br /> <br />Council Member Gunn reported she attended the I-35W Coalition meeting last week and a <br />MnDOT crew was present to discuss a shovel ready project. This project would create a MN- <br />Pass lane from Lexington Avenue to County Road C. She reported that public comment would <br />be taken at Open Houses that would be scheduled early next spring. <br /> <br />Council Member Mueller explained she attended the League of Minnesota Cities Board of <br />Directors meeting last week and approved a budget for 2015. The group also discussed the <br />insurance trust and indicated member cities were to expect a 3% increase for 2015. <br /> <br />Council Member Mueller provided a recap on Festival in the Park and thanked all of the <br />volunteers involved in pulling off this wonderful event. She then read a list of trophy winners for <br />the 8th Annual Car Show. <br /> <br />Council Member Mueller discussed the recent Concert in the Park noting T&A Show provided a <br />great show for the community. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause indicated the Rice Creek Watershed District would be holding a <br />public meeting on Tuesday, August 26th at 9:00 a.m. at the Shoreview City Hall. Discussion will <br />be held regarding the middle Rice Creek restoration project. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause reported he would be attending a Northeast Youth and Family <br />Services meeting on Thursday morning. <br /> <br />Mayor Flaherty was pleased to report that the TCAAP property has been renamed Rice Creek <br />Commons. <br /> <br />Mayor Flaherty indicated he would be attending the Apple Tree Dental Grand Opening on <br />Wednesday, August 27th at 4:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Mayor Flaherty thanked all who attended and assisted in the planning of Festival in the Park. He <br />stated this was a great event for the entire community and looked forward to next year’s <br />celebration.
