JUST AND CORRECT CLAIMS <br /> <br />Finance Director Beer answered the Council's questions related to claims. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Hull. To Approve the Just and Correct Claims as presented. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />10. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />11. REPORTS <br />A. Reports of Mayor and Council. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause reported he attended the bi-monthly YMCA Advisory Commission <br />meeting with staff. He explained revenues were up at the Community Center and participation in <br />summer programs were on the rise. <br /> <br />City Administrator Ericson explained that RISE was looking to relocate in the Community <br />Center, which would also benefit the City and its residents through additional programming. He <br />commented that staff was considering increasing the hours of operation at the Community <br />Center. This matter would be reviewed in further detail by the Council at a future meeting. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause read a letter from Jerry Hromtka of Northeast Youth and Family <br />Services to the Council. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause indicated he would be attending the Mounds View Business <br />Council meeting on Wednesday, September 10th at 7:30 a.m. at the Community Center. He <br />stated the Festival in the Park Committee would meet on September 16th at City Hall. <br /> <br /> B. Reports of Staff. <br /> <br />Finance Director Beer reported the Cable Commission met last week and an extension was <br />received from Comcast to Greatland Communications, the new cable provider for the metro area. <br />He stated negotiations continue with Comcast and the final sticking point was PEG fees.
