He questioned if the Council supported this amendment. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause asked if the City would receive additional compensation because <br />of the proposed amendment. City Administrator Ericson anticipated the City would receive <br />additional compensation. <br /> <br />The Council supported staff’s recommendation. <br /> <br />1. Public Works Annual Report <br /> <br />Public Works Director DeBar discussed the 2013 Annual Report with the Council. He <br />highlighted the projects completed along with the shifts made to personnel. He reviewed the <br />amount of water pumped and discussed the number of water service breaks. He noted the <br />County would be rehabbing County Road I in 2015. <br /> <br />Public Works Director DeBar reported the Wellhead Protection Plan was completed and <br />approved. He then reviewed the cost saving measures seen by the City due to his coordinating <br />efforts. He noted utilities for the TCAAP site would continue to be discussed with the City of <br />Arden Hills. <br /> <br />Public Works Director DeBar explained Area F was completed in 2013 and the City had only <br />three more improvement projects remaining. He was proud of the park improvements completed <br />at Silver View Park and reported the City received “Tree City” Status again for the 32nd year in a <br />row. <br /> <br />Public Works Director DeBar questioned if the Street Committee should remain intact or if the <br />group could be disbanded. Mayor Flaherty recommended this be discussed with the group. He <br />did not object to disbanding the group. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause agreed stating 2015 would be the last year they would need to <br />meet. <br /> <br />Council Member Mueller was pleased by the work completed by the Street Committee along <br />with their endorsement of each Street Improvement project. She suggested the committee remain <br />in place through 2015. <br /> <br />Council Member Gunn believed there were a few non-standard streets still in place that should <br />be reviewed by the Street Committee in 2015. <br /> <br />Mayor Flaherty thanked Public Works Director DeBar for this thorough report. <br /> <br />Finance Director Beer provided the Council with an update on the franchise with Comcast noting <br />a public meeting would be held in April. <br />
