Mounds View City Council January 12, 2015 <br />Regular Meeting Page 8 <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause noted a correction on Page 7, Line 22 the word assessment should <br />not be plural. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Hull. To Approve the December 8, 2014, City Council meeting <br />minutes as corrected. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />11. REPORTS <br />A. Reports of Mayor and Council. <br /> <br />Council Member Mueller indicated the Ramsey County League of Local Government would be <br />holding a conversation with Ramsey County Legislators on Thursday, January 15th at the Best <br />Western in St. Paul. She encouraged the entire Council to attend. <br /> <br />Council Member Mueller noted she would be attending a League of Minnesota Cities Board of <br />Directors Meeting on Thursday, January 15th. <br /> <br />Council Member Mueller commented the Mounds View Business Council would be meeting on <br />Wednesday, January 14th at the Community Center at 7:30 a.m. A representative from the post <br />office would be the guest speaker. <br /> <br />Council Member Mueller explained that on Tuesday, January 20th at 7:00 p.m. the Festival in the <br />Park Committee would be meeting at City Hall. The group was still seeking volunteers to assist <br />with fundraising for this year’s event. <br /> <br />Council Member Gunn stated on Tuesday, January 13th she would be attending the I-35W <br />Coalition Board meeting. She noted the group would be meeting with the Washington Advocacy <br />Group. <br /> <br />Mayor Flaherty indicated he attended his first North Suburban Cable Commission meeting last <br />Thursday. He reported the group continues to work on the joint powers agreement and bylaws. <br /> <br /> B. Reports of Staff. <br /> <br />Finance Director Beer commended Debbie Jasper for her efforts on the utility bills. <br /> <br />City Administrator Ericson explained the BioLife project was progressing nicely and had a <br />planned completion date of July 2015. He reported that Bel Rae was finishing their project as <br />well and had leased out seven units. <br /> <br />City Administrator Ericson discussed a new drop axle fish house style that resembled a camper. <br />He indicated a resident brought this to the City’s attention due to the fact fish houses could not <br />currently be stored in front yards. He asked if the Council would like the Planning Commission <br />to review this matter and make a recommendation to the Council.
