Mounds View City Council May 11, 2015 <br />Regular Meeting Page 8 <br /> <br />I. Introduction and First Reading of Ordinance 901, Amending City Code Title <br />500, Business License Regulations by Adding Chapter 519, Christmas Trees. <br /> <br />Planning Associate Heller requested the Council introduce Ordinance 901, which would amend <br />City Code Title 500, which would amend business license regulations, adding Chapter 519 <br />allowing for Christmas trees. She explained a fee would have to be added to the fee schedule to <br />address this type of transient merchant. <br /> <br />Mayor Flaherty supported the definitions within the proposed Ordinance. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Meehlhause. To Waive the First Reading and Introduce <br />Ordinance 901, Amending City Code Title 500, Business License Regulations by Adding <br />Chapter 519, Christmas Trees. <br /> <br />Council Member Mueller thanked staff for addressing this matter through a code amendment. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />J. Introduction and First Reading of Ordinance 902, Amending Zoning Code <br />Title 1100, Chapter 1112, to Add Requirements for Temporary Outdoor <br />Food Sales. <br /> <br />Planning Associate Heller requested the Council introduce Ordinance 902 amending the Zoning <br />Code to add requirements for temporary outdoor food sales. She explained this amendment <br />would allow for transient outdoor merchants to sell food. She commented that the new language <br />would allow for vendors to remain within the City at one spot for up to 21 days, which aligns <br />with County and State requirements. <br /> <br />Council Member Mueller asked if food trucks were licensed through the State. Planning <br />Associate Heller explained that food truck vendors were licensed through the County Health <br />Department. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Meehlhause. To Waive the First Reading and Introduce Ordinance <br />902, Amending Zoning Code Title 1100, Chapter 1112, to Add Requirements for Temporary <br />Outdoor Food Sales. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />K. Resolution 8416, Approving Plans and Specifications and Authorizing <br />Advertisement for Bid for the Mustang Drive/Circle Pavement Rehabilitation <br />Project. <br /> <br />Interim Public Works Director Peterson requested the Council approve the plans and <br />specifications and authorize staff to advertise for bids for the Mustang Drive/Circle pavement <br />rehabilitation project.
