To Waive the Second Reading and Adopt Ordinance <br />904, Amending Chapter 1106 of the Mounds View Zoning Code to Allow Additional Exterior <br />Materials on Columbaria. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL: Gunn/Hull/Meehlhause/Flaherty. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />B. 7:00 p.m. Public Hearing, Resolution 8434, a Resolution to Consider a <br />Residential Kennel License located at 2280 Pinewood Drive. <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Crane explained that the residents at 2280 Pinewood Drive have <br />more than two dogs and were requesting a residential kennel license to allow four (4) dogs on the <br />property. She indicated staff sent notices for a public hearing and received notification that the <br />resident could not attend the meeting. In addition, staff has received numerous complaints from <br />adjacent property owners regarding these four (4) dogs on the property. Staff recommended that <br />the Council postpone action on this item to the July 27, 2015 City Council meeting to allow the <br />owners to be present at the meeting. <br /> <br />Mayor Flaherty opened the public hearing at 7:09 p.m. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Hull. To Continue the Public Hearing for Residential Kennel <br />License located at 2280 Pinewood Drive to the July 27, 2015 City Council Meeting. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />C. 7:00 p.m. Public Hearing, Resolution 8435, a Resolution to Consider a <br />Residential Kennel License located at 5414 Jackson Drive. <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Crane explained that the residents at 5414 Jackson Drive have more <br />than two dogs and were requesting a residential kennel license to allow three (3) dogs on the <br />property. She noted that all dogs were current on their shots and were licensed with the City. <br />She reported staff sent notices for a public hearing. She understood that the police had received <br />one complaint on these dogs and have zero resident complaints. Staff recommended approval of <br />the residential kennel license. <br /> <br />Mayor Flaherty opened the public hearing at 7:14 p.m. <br /> <br />Hearing no public input, Mayor Flaherty closed the public hearing at 7:14 p.m. <br /> <br />Mayor Flaherty questioned when the dogs got out and if this was a recent event.
