Mounds View City Council July 13, 2015 <br />Regular Meeting Page 4 <br /> <br /> <br />E. Resolution 8436, Approving the Installation of a Panic Hardware and Door <br />Release Buttons in City Hall. <br /> <br />Public Works Director Erickson requested the Council approve the installation of six panic <br />buttons and door release hardware in City Hall. He reported the expense would be just over <br />$5,000. He discussed the location of the proposed panic buttons and door release hardware. He <br />explained this was not a budgeted expense for 2015, but funds were available to cover the cost. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause asked what funds were being used to cover this expense. Public <br />Works Director Erickson stated a Grounds and Maintenance fund would be used for this project. <br /> <br />Mayor Flaherty questioned what type of training would be provided to staff on the new security <br />systems. City Administrator Ericson explained that staff and the Police Department would be <br />properly trained to safely manage the new door entry system. <br /> <br />Mayor Flaherty inquired if the Police Department supported the proposed panic buttons. Police <br />Chief Kinney fully supported the proposed panic hardware and believed that the panic buttons <br />would offer an extra measure of protection at City Hall. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Hull. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 8436, <br />Approving the Installation of a Panic Hardware and Door Release Buttons in City Hall. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />8. CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br />Council Member Gunn asked to remove Item 8A. <br /> <br />A. Set Public Hearing for Monday August 24, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. for Municipal <br />Consent on Ramsey County Road H and I -35W Interchange Project. <br />B. Resolution 8432 for Approval of Master Subscriber Agreement for <br />Minnesota Court Data Services for Government Agencies. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Flaherty/Meehlhause. To Approve the Consent Agenda as amended <br />removing Item 8A. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />A. Set Public Hearing for Monday August 24, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. for Municipal <br />Consent on Ramsey County Road H and I-35W Interchange Project. <br /> <br />Council Member Gunn asked if the City would have an informational meeting prior to the Public <br />Hearing. City Administrator Ericson reported that Ramsey County would be attending the <br />August worksession and would be providing the Council with information on the project.
