EDC RESOLUTION NO. 95-EDC6 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 95-EDC6 ENCOURAGING THE COUNTY TO MAKE OLD <br />HIGHWAY 8 IN MOUNDS VIEW A TOP PRIORITY AND KEEP ON THE <br />SCHEDULE TO REALIGN IN 1996 <br />WHEREAS, Old Highway 8 in Mounds View is on the southeast side of the City where <br />Mounds View Industrial Park is located; and <br />WHEREAS, Old Highway 8's intersection with County Road H and State Highway 10 is <br />viewed by residents and businesses as very dangerous and especially a hazard at peak travel <br />times; and <br />WHEREAS, The businesses located off Old Highway 8 have major concerns regarding the <br />condition of the road and the intersection and as a result avoid going into Mounds View, and <br />WHEREAS, The Economic Development Commission's mission includes the promotion <br />of a positive economic climate which retains and expands existing businesses; and <br />WHEREAS, The Economic Development Commission sees the realignment of Old <br />Highway 8 as critical to the economic vitality of the Industrial Park. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Economic Development <br />Commission hereby strongly encourages Ramsey County to keep the realignment of Old <br />Highway 8 on schedule for 1996 for the safety and vitality of residents and businesses in <br />Mounds View. <br />Adopted by the Economic Development Commission of the City of Mounds View this <br />23rd day of February, 1995. <br />ATTEST: '�G`` ✓ 1, a�J�s�s- <br />"Chair <br />(SEAL) <br />conomic 1TAYVelopment Coordinator <br />
