EDC RESOLUTION NO. 95-EDC7 <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT <br />AUTHORITY'S CONSIDERATION OF TAX INCREMENT FINANCING FOR THE <br />PROPOSED BRIDGES TECHNOLOGY PARK <br />WHEREAS, BelAir Builders and their clients outlined preliminary plans for construction <br />of the "Bridges Technology Park" on Coral Sea Drive in Mounds View at the Economic <br />Development Commission meeting on May 25, 1995; and <br />WHEREAS, the proposal is for a 31,000-33,000 square foot office/showroom facility on <br />2.7 acres located at lot 3 of Doug Watson's property directly abutting the Bridges Practice <br />Range,and <br />WHEREAS, the main occupant of the building, and investor, will be a medical <br />distribution company specializing in home care pharmaceuticals, and <br />WHEREAS, the company will be requesting tax increment financing from the Mounds <br />View Economic Development Authority to assistance in the development of the property for <br />the proposed facility, and <br />WHEREAS, the Economic Development Commission's mission includes acting as an <br />advisory to the Economic Development Authority with regards to the attraction of quality new <br />businesses; and <br />WHEREAS, The Economic Development Commission sees the development of a <br />technology park next to the Bridges Golf Facility as an enhancement to the overall economic <br />vitality of the City of Mounds View. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Economic Development <br />Commission hereby recommends that the Economic Development Authority consider tax <br />increment financing assistance for the "Bridges Technology Park" as proposed by BelAir <br />Builders on May 25, 1995. <br />Adopted by the Economic Development Commission of the City of Mounds View this <br />25th day of May, 1995. <br />ATTEST: /` " <br />�1 - we::;2� <br />Chair <br />(SEAL) <br />Economic D I ment Coordinator <br />
