MOUNDS VIEW ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION <br />RESOLUTION NO. 11 -EDC -37 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION REQUESTING THAT THE MOUNDS VIEW ECONOMC <br />DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION REMAIN NOTIFIED AND INVOLVED IN THE <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW'S DISCUSSIONS ABOUT THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE <br />PROPOSED MINNESOTA VIKINGS MULTI-PURPOSE FACILITY <br />ON THE TCAAP SITE IN ARDEN HILLS <br />WHEREAS, The Mounds View City Council formed the Mounds View Economic <br />Development Commission (EDC) by Ordinance 542 on June 27, 1994; and, <br />WHEREAS, Per Chapter408 of the Mounds View City Code, the EDC serves as an advisory <br />commission to the Mounds View Economic Development Authority on matters relating to fostering a <br />positive economic climate, encouraging economic development and enhancing the tax base of the <br />City. The EDC also makes recommendations to the Economic Development Authority regarding <br />retention and expansion of existing businesses, attraction of desirable new businesses, <br />redevelopment and rehabilitation opportunities, and other appropriate economic development <br />strategies; and, <br />WHEREAS, The EDC agrees that the development of the proposed Minnesota Vikings multi- <br />purpose facility on the TCAAP site in Arden Hills directly relates to the aforementioned purpose of <br />the EDC; and, <br />WHEREAS, The EDC requests to remain notified and involved in the City of Mounds View's <br />discussions about the aforementioned proposed Minnesota Vikings facility; and, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Economic Development Commission <br />hereby approves this resolution of request to the City of Mounds View. <br />Adopted this 151" day of July 2011. <br />Torri Johnson, EDC Chair <br />ATTEST:IL, <br />Heidi Steinmetz, City Staff LiWon to the EDC <br />
