Tax Increment Finance Policy Revisions <br /> <br /> <br />After discussing revisions to the TIF policy from the previous meeting, a motion <br />recommending the Economic Development Authority adopt the revisions to the tax increment <br />finance policy was presented. <br /> <br />Motion/Second: Carlson/Walther <br /> <br />Motion Carried 6 ayes 0 nays <br /> <br />B. Mermaid Hotel and Banquet Center TIF Application <br /> <br />Economic Development Coordinator Parrish outlined the proposed project and the nature of <br />the nature of the TIF request. After discussing the proposed request, a motion <br />recommending the Economic Development Authority give preliminary approval of the <br />Mermaid’s application for tax increment finance assistance was introduced: <br /> <br />Motion/Second: Field/Carlson <br /> <br />Motion Carried 6 ayes 0 nays <br /> <br /> <br />C. Business Retention Visits <br /> <br />After discussing the various facets of conducting business retention visits, the Commission <br />decided to conduct visits after regularly scheduled meetings. To the extent possible, it was <br />determined that the visits should be prioritized based current city issues and concerns <br />expressed by businesses. <br /> <br />8.
