CALL TO ORDER: <br /> <br /> The meeting was called to order at 7:38 a.m. by Chairperson Greg Belting. <br /> <br />2. ROLL CALL: <br /> <br /> Members Present: Dr. Greg Belting, Tom Field, Torri Johnson, and Dave Fox <br />Member Absent: Stan McDonald, Jason Helgemoe <br /> <br />Staff Present: Economic Development Coordinator Aaron Backman <br /> <br /> <br />3. APPROVAL OF EDC MINUTES: <br /> <br />Motion/Second: Field moved and Johnson seconded the approval of the February 1, 2002 EDC <br />minutes. <br />Motion Carried: 4 Ayes 0 Nays <br /> <br />4. SPECIAL BUSINESS <br /> <br />No Special Business Scheduled. <br /> <br />5. REPORT OF COMMISSIONERS, STAFF AND EDA LIAISON <br /> <br />A. Commissioner Reports: <br /> <br />There were no reports. <br /> <br />B. Report of EDA Liaison: <br /> <br />Backman reported that it was determined that Mr. Field needed to be formally re-appointed to the <br />EDC. The EDA did approve his new term at its March 11, 2002 meeting. Mayor Rich Sonterre <br />was notified of today’s EDC meeting. <br /> <br />C. NB-MV Chamber of Commerce Update: <br /> <br />Backman will be attending the New Brighton-Mounds View Chamber Board meeting this <br />Thursday, March 28th at the Dalco Enterprises building in New Brighton. Field mentioned that the <br />4th Annual Chamber Golf Tournament will be held at Brightwood Hills Golf Course on May 16th. <br />The public and Chambers members are encouraged to participate.
