CALL TO ORDER: <br /> <br /> Chairperson Greg Belting called the meeting to order at 7:42 a.m. <br /> <br />2. APPROVAL OF EDC MINUTES: <br /> <br />Motion/Second: McDonald moved and Fox seconded the approval of the July 31, 2002 EDC <br />minutes. <br />Motion Carried: 5 Ayes 0 Nays <br /> <br />4. SPECIAL BUSINESS <br /> <br />No Special Business Scheduled. <br /> <br />5. REPORT OF COMMISSIONERS, STAFF AND EDA LIAISON <br /> <br />A. Commissioner Reports: <br />McDonald indicated that he had received comments complimentary of Backman’s work with the <br />Mermaid and Abbey Carpet projects. <br /> <br />B. Report of EDA Liaison: <br />No report. <br /> <br />C. TCN Chamber of Commerce Update: <br />Backman noted that he had invited Shannon Meyer, President of the Twin Cities North Chamber <br />of Commerce, to make a presentation to the EDC later during the meeting. Helgemoe mentioned <br />that the Chamber was having a fall golf tournament on September 13th at the Links course in the <br />City of Ramsey.
