CALL TO ORDER: <br /> <br /> Chairperson Torri Johnson called the meeting to order at 8:03 a.m. <br /> <br />2. ROLL CALL: <br /> <br /> Members Present: Greg Belting, Jackie Entsminger, Tom Field, Torri Johnson, Stan McDonald <br />Members Absent: David Fox, Jason Helgemoe <br /> <br />Staff Present: Economic Development Coordinator Aaron Backman <br />Others Present: None. <br /> <br /> <br />3. APPROVAL OF EDC MINUTES: <br /> <br />Motion/Second: Field moved and Johnson seconded the approval of the December 19, 2003 EDC <br />minutes. <br /> <br />Motion Carried: 5 Ayes 0 Nays <br /> <br />4. SPECIAL BUSINESS <br /> <br />A. Election of 2004 Chairperson and Vice Chairperson. Field nominated Johnson as the EDC’s <br />Chair for 2004. Entsminger seconded. Motion passed 5 to 0. Entsminger nominated Helgemoe <br />for EDC Vice Chair, and McDonald nominated Entsminger for Vice Chair. Entsminger declined <br />and Belting seconded the motion nominating Helgemoe. Motion passed 5 to 0. <br /> <br />5. REPORT OF COMMISSIONERS, STAFF AND EDA LIAISON <br /> <br />A. Commissioner Reports: None <br /> <br />B. Report of EDA Liaison: None <br /> <br />C. TCN Chamber of Commerce Update: Backman reminded listeners that the Chamber’s Annual <br />Gala will be held at the Mermaid on Saturday, February 28, 2004. The public is welcome to <br />attend the event. Backman attended a Public Policy Task Force meeting this morning to listen to <br />the Legislative Update Conference Call.
