EDC Minutes <br />May 19, 2006 <br />Page 3 <br /> <br />The City Council will award a construction contract on June 12th for Pleasant View Circle, a <br />new road on the west side of the subdivision. <br /> <br />4. Weather-Rite, Inc., Business Prospect from Minneapolis: This prospective business is <br />located in downtown Minneapolis in an old, inefficient building near the site of the proposed <br />Twins stadium. The company manufactures HVAC systems, has 60 employees, and needs <br />a larger facility. Backman suggested Building A in the M.V. Business Park to the company. <br />He set up a meeting between the President of the company and CB Richard Ellis. <br /> <br />5. Other: Members asked Backman the status of various properties or projects. He quickly <br />responded to the following—Fastenal (opened in Hwy 10 Business Center), contractor <br />supply business in Silver View Square (lease signed with Ames), Premium Stop (Phase 1 & <br />2 completed, tanks pulled), Skyline Motel (nothing new), PAC (nothing new), Long Lake <br />Business Center (LandCor, nothing new), Red Oak Estates (site prep underway, utilities <br />being installed), Random Park Building (sprinkler plans to be submitted). <br /> <br />7.
