RESOLUTION 8864 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />APPROVING FRED KOLKMAN TENNIS & SPORT SURFACES INC. TO PREPARE <br />PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR TOTAL RECONSTRUCTION OF THE TENNIS <br />COURTS AT GREENFIELD AND GROVELAND PARKS <br />WHEREAS, The Parks and Recreation and Forestry Commission along with Public Works <br />Staff have been evaluating options for the tennis court surfaces at Greenfield and Groveland <br />Parks; and <br />WHEREAS, The playing surfaces vary in age and condition and multiple options were <br />considered for improvements such as total reconstruction, resurfacing or placing a tile system; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Fred Kolkman Tennis & Sport Surfaces LLC was contacted to perform the <br />evaluations and provide the Commission a report for options for all the playing surfaces in the <br />Parks; and <br />WHEREAS, Fred Kolkman provided a proposal fortotal reconstruction of the tennis courts <br />at Greenfield and Groveland Parks at a cost of $6,500.00; and, <br />WHEREAS, Funding for this project would come from the Park Dedication fund account <br />451-4470-7050, with a budget of $60,000.00 to resurface Greenfield and Groveland Park tennis <br />courts. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, <br />Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br />1. The proposal from Fred Kolkman Tennis & Sport Surfaces, Inc of Grafton WI is <br />$6,500.00. <br />2. The Council hereby accepts the proposal to prepare plans and specifications for total <br />reconstruction of the tennis courts at Greenfield and Groveland Parks. <br />3. Funding for this project would come from the Park Dedication fund account 451-4470- <br />7050, with a budget of $60,000.00. The tennis Courts at Greenfield and Groveland <br />Parks are being proposed to be rebuilt in 2018. <br />4. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to execute all <br />appropriate documents to effectuate the actions contemplated by this resolution. <br />5. The Mayor and City Administrator, staff and consultants are hereby authorized and <br />directed to take any and all additional steps and actions necessary or convenient in <br />order to accomplish the intent of this Resolution. <br />Adopted this 2711 day of November, 2017 <br />A.
