22. Other Personnel Matters. In addition to seeking proposals from area consultants to conduct <br />a non-union personnel compensation study, the Council approved the job description for the <br />vacant HR Specialist position. The position will need to be pointed and a wage established. <br />This can be done concurrent to the compensation study by the same consultant or separately <br />by another consultant. Given the importance of this position, I would suggest acting on the <br />HR Specialist position separately which would in theory provide for a quicker turn -around <br />time. Once pointed and a wage assigned, staff can work with the League of MN Cities and/or <br />our benefits coordinator (Johnson McCann, which has an HR division we can use) to assist in <br />the creation of the job posting, the Training and Education (T&E) score sheet and application <br />screening. <br />23.
