To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 8827, <br />Authorizing Preparation of Feasibility Report and Pavement and Soil Borings for Program <br />Avenue, Quincy Street, Woodale Drive, Clifton Drive (AKA Business Park North) Pavement <br />Rehabilitation. <br />Mayor Mueller asked if this would be the only street project completed by the City in 2018. <br />Interim Public Works Director Peterson explained this would be the only street project in 2018. <br />Council Member Meehlhause stated he was pleased to see these roadways were being planned <br />for improvement. <br />Ayes — 5 <br />7. PUBLIC COMMENT <br />Nays — 0 Motion carried. <br />Mayor Mueller reopened the meeting for Public Comment. <br />Linda Stewlow, 2366 Pinewood Circle, apologized for being late to the Council meeting. She <br />spoke to the SNAP Market liquor license and stated she was disappointed that this request had <br />been approved. She believed a convenience store did not work at this location. She commented <br />on the disappointing experiences she had at the previous SNAP Market. <br />Mayor Mueller explained the property was under new ownership and stated the City did not <br />anticipate they would have any problems with the new owners. She commented the new owners <br />had experience running this type of establishment in the metro area. <br />Council Member Bergeron thanked Ms. Stewlow for bringing her concerns to the City Council. <br />10. REPORTS <br />A. Reports of Mayor and Council. <br />Council Member Gunn stated the Irondale Robotics would be holding a FIRST Fair on Saturday, <br />September 16`x' from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Irondale Gyms. She explained this was a free <br />event open to the public. <br />Council Member Gunn reported the I35W Coalition met recently and received an update from <br />MnDOT. She explained the I35W project was now fully funded and would run from Highway <br />36 to Lexington Avenue. Full construction of the project would begin in 2019. She stated a <br />ground -breaking ceremony was being planned for September 2018. It was noted the project was <br />predicted to take four years to complete. <br />Council Member Bergeron congratulated the Irondale Knights football team for getting off to <br />great start for their season. <br />
