ROLL CALL: Flaherty, Gunn, Hull, Meehlhause, Mueller <br />17 <br />18 NOT PRESENT: None. <br />19 <br />20 4. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />21 A. Monday, January 7, 2013, City Council Agenda. <br />22 <br />23 MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Hull. To Approve the Monday, January 7, 2013, agenda as <br />24 presented. <br />iF <br />26 Ayes — 5 Nays — 0 Motion carried. <br />27 <br />28 5. PUBLIC INPUT <br />29 <br />30 Dave Shoop, 2186 Lambert Avenue, expressed concern with the number of semi -trucks using <br />31 Quincy Street. He indicated this heavy traffic was wearing away the road and creating safety <br />32 concerns. He presented the Council with a petition signed by every neighbor on Quincy Street <br />33 and requested the Council look into this matter. Mr. Shoop suggested signs be posted to <br />34 discourage truck traffic. <br />35 <br />36 Mayor Flaherty thanked Mr. Shoop for bringing this concern to the City and indicated the <br />37 Council would pass along this concern to Staff. He suggested Economic Development Specialist <br />38 Steinmetz draft a letter to business owners near Quincy Street to ensure they understand this <br />39 roadway was not meant for truck traffic. <br />40 <br />41 6. SPECIAL ORDER OF BUSINESS <br />42 A. Oath of Office for Mayor Joe Flaherty <br />43 <br />44 City Administrator Ericson administered the oath of office to Mayor Joe Flaherty. Those present <br />45 offered a round of applause. <br />
