She volunteered for this position. <br />Council Member Meehlhause stated he was willing to also be present at these meetings. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Gunn. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 8040, <br />Appointing City Council Members and City Staff as Representatives for City Commissions and <br />Other Organizations as amended. <br />Ayes — 5 Nays — 0 Motion carried. <br />Council Member Mueller noted the Mounds View Business Counsel was meeting on Wednesday <br />morning at 7:30 a.m. at the Community Center. In addition, she noted the Minnesota Women in <br />City Government meeting would be held on Saturday at the LMC office from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. <br />Council Member Mueller stated a city-wide Tupperware party fundraiser would be held on <br />January 13, 2013 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at the Mounds View Community Center. All proceeds <br />from the event would assist with the care, feeding and training of the City's K9 unit. <br />City Administrator Ericson announced he would be attending a MnDOT Transportation update <br />meeting tomorrow morning. He would provide an update to the Council. <br />City Administrator Ericson asked who would be attending the League of Minnesota Cities <br />Conference in February along with Council Member Meehlhause. Council Members Mueller <br />and Gunn both expressed interest in the event. <br />City Administrator Ericson noted Sergeant Bob Nelson has submitted his retirement notice. He <br />would be retiring on February 27, 2013. <br />Council Member Mueller asked if there were any openings on the various Commissions and <br />Committees in the City. City Administrator Ericson stated Parks and Ree had one opening along <br />
