July 8, 2013, City Council Meeting Minutes. <br />Council Member Mueller requested a correction on Page 4, Line 34, as there should be a period <br />at the end of the sentence. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Hull. To Approve the July 8, 2013, City Council meeting minutes <br />as corrected. <br />Ayes — 5 Nays — 0 Motion carried. <br />11. REPORTS <br />A. Reports of Mayor and Council. <br />Council Member Mueller noted Sergeant Tim Wolf with the Mounds View Police Department <br />requested that the public be made aware there would be a Firearms Safety and Hunting Education <br />Course at the Mounds View Police Department. The classes would be held on September 5`h, <br />10`x', 12t", 17`x', 19`x' and 24th. All participants must be at least 1 l years of age and the course fee <br />was $15. Those seeking additional information on the courses could contact the Mounds View <br />Police Department. <br />Council Member Meehlhause stated Silver View Park and the new play ground equipment would <br />be dedicated by the Park Commission on September 26`h at 6:00 p.m. <br />B. Reports of Staff. <br />1. Public Works Quarterly Report. <br />Public Works Director DeBar reviewed the second quarter Public Works Department report with <br />the Council. He explained that a great deal of maintenance has occurred this quarter throughout <br />the City on irrigation systems, in parks and on streets. He stated the street improvement program <br />has greatly assisted in decreasing pothole maintenance. <br />Public Works Director DeBar discussed the water usage in the second quarter. He noted all City <br />streets and parking surfaces were swept this spring after the four snow events. He reported eight <br />
