ENGINEERING SERIG CEE is nationally recognized for its expertise in energy-related technologies and applications. We provide technical assistance for commercial and industrial buildings with a focus on providing practical solutions for complex energy issues. CEE's engineering projects serve several types of facilities including manufacturing, healthcare, correctional, office, K-12 schools, college campuses, ice arenas, parking ramps and theatres. Our engineers focus on a variety of systems and equipment from building automation systems to building envelopes to HVAC equipment to lighting. We also work with alternative and renewable energy equipment. PROGRAM DESIGN AND DELIVERY CEE assists electric and gas utilities in the design and implementation of innovative, cost-effective energy efficiency programs for residential, multifamily and commercial customers. CEE's program design is firmly rooted in our research. The energy-saving measures implemented in CEE's programs are selected through rigorous technical analysis performed by our research staff. CEE's program experts also design cost-effective marketing strategies and incentives to achieve energy savings through direct action by individuals, businesses and communities. By utilizing the latest behavioral research and a "one-stop" approach, CEE's programs overcome barriers that many homeowners and business owners face when considering energy improvements. Featured Programs One -Stop Efficiency ShopO— The One -Stop Efficiency Shop@ is a full-service lighting rebate program available to small businesses in Xcel Energy's Minnesota service territory with an electric demand of 400 KW or less. The program's turnkey approach is specifically designed to address the concerns small business owners face when choosing more efficient lighting: limited financial resources and time, limited knowledge of lighting products and access to quality contractors. Home Energy Squad Enhanced — Home Energy Squad Enhanced is a one-stop, full service residential energy program currently offered in partnership with CenterPoint Energy, Xcel Energy and several cities across the metro. The Home Energy Squad Enhanced program combines the direct installation of energy-saving devices such as high -efficiency lighting, shower heads and programmable thermostats with a full assessment of energy-saving opportunities, including a blower door test to identify insulation and air -sealing needs, a furnace safety check and a personalized report. LENDING CENTER Since 1989 CEE has worked cooperatively with various agencies throughout Minnesota to develop and fund innovative financing products that address unmet needs and that complement offerings of utilities, government agencies, private institutions and foundations. CEE finances more than $8 million in energy efficiency and rehabilitation improvements annually. CEE's variety of financing includes revolving loan pools, interest rate buy -downs, deferred and forgivable loans and grants. CEE is a non-traditional lender that offers competitive terms, technical assistance, and a wide array of flexible financing options for Minnesota businesses, nonprofits, homeowners and multi -family property owners for -rehabilitation and energy efficiency projects.
