MOinvns VIEW <br />of Mounds View Staff R <br />Item No: 09B <br />Meeting Date: November 13, 2017 <br />Type of Business: Council Business <br />Administrator Review: i9- <br />- <br />To: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From: Nate Harder, Chief of Police <br />Item Title/Subject: Resolution 8854, Resolution approving appointment <br />of Police Civil Service Commissioners <br />Introduction <br />The Mounds View Police Civil Service currently has one unfilled vacancy, and one <br />position to expire in December. <br />Discussion <br />Three applications for the Police Civil Service Commission have been received to <br />include: Robert King, Virgil Beyer, and Kenneth Breske. Virgil Beyer has served his term <br />as Police Civil Service Commissioner and would like to extend his service another three <br />years. Kenneth Breske indicated he would like to serve on either Economic <br />Development or Police Civil Service. The City is in need of individuals to serve in both of <br />these Commissions. <br />Recommendation <br />Staff recommends approval of the appointment of Virgil Beyer and Robert King to the <br />Police Civil Service Commission. <br />Respectfully Submitted, <br />Nate Harder <br />Chief of Police <br />
