<br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ABATEMENT OF NUISANCE CODE
<br />VIOLATIONS AT 7895 EASTWOOD RD., MOUNDS VIEW, MINNESOTA, 55112.
<br />WHEREAS, RONALD RALPH PETERSON is the owner of property located at 7895
<br />EASTWOOD RD., zoned R-1, Single Family Residential, legally described as follows:
<br />Spring Lake Park Hill View, Except the East 86 feet of the North 117 feet of Lot 56, Ramsey
<br />County, Minnesota
<br />PIN# 06.30.23.44.0041
<br />WHEREAS, there has been a persistent and repeated history of exterior nuisance code
<br />violations at 7895 Eastwood Rd.; and,
<br />WHEREAS, on August 28, 2013, city staff inspected the property located at 7895
<br />Eastwood Rd., observing a large un -stacked pile of wood and a significant quantity of junk,
<br />debris, car parts, rusting metal and an unregistered boat in violation of the City's Nuisance Code;
<br />and,
<br />WHEREAS, a notice of violation dated August 28, 2013, was issued to Ronald Peterson
<br />requesting corrective action be taken to bring the property into compliance; and,
<br />WHEREAS, on September 9, 2013, staff performed a follow up inspection of the
<br />property to verify corrective actions were completed and, finding that the conditions had
<br />deteriorated, a second notice of violation was; and,
<br />WHEREAS, on October 1, 2013, staff performed a follow up inspection of the property
<br />and observed that no change in the nuisance violations had occurred; and,
<br />WHEREAS, on October 1, 2013, an Abatement Order was mailed along with a formal
<br />letter requesting Mr. Peterson make contact with staff in regards to the violations; and,
<br />WHEREAS, on October 30, 2013, staff performed a follow up inspection to the
<br />property, observing that many violations were still present; and,
<br />WHEREAS, on November 9, 2013, staff notified Mr. Peterson of its intent to appear
<br />before the Mounds View City Council to request authorization to abate violations noted in the
<br />Notice of Violation dated September 9, 2013; and,
<br />WHEREAS, the City has complied with the notification requirement for nuisance
<br />abatement as stated in Section 607.08, Subd. 1 of the Mounds View Municipal Code.
