On January 25, 2012, a welfare check of two residents at 2949 County Rd 10 resulted in the discovery of the deceased bodies of Mark and Christine Schnor. Each victim had sustained a fatal gunshot wound which was later determined to be a murder -suicide. Then on January 31, 2012, the department responded to a stabbing at 2634 Lake Ct Dr where a 51 year old male, Michael Hilling, was found deceased from a stab wound to the chest. The 56 year old brother, Jay Hilling, was arrested and charged with 2nd degree murder. 15
