RESOLUTION NO. 8867 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />APPROVING REVISED JOB DESCRIPTIONS FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS GIS <br />TECHNICIAN AND ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN <br />WHEREAS, Public Works Engineering/Information Technician, Jim Hess retired in <br />July of 2017,and Michael Richie, Public Works Project Coordinator resigned from his <br />position in November 2017; and, <br />WHEREAS, when job vacancies occur, it is desirable to review job descriptions to <br />ensure the requirements accurately reflect the expectations of the City Council; and, <br />WHEREAS, at the November 20, 2017, Council Retreat, the City Council reviewed <br />the Public Works Organization Chart and discussed the need to update both job <br />descriptions and it was the consensus of the City Council to start the process to review <br />both job descriptions; and, <br />WHEREAS, Public Works Staff has reviewed both descriptions with <br />recommendations in changes in both descriptions and recommends having the <br />descriptions reviewed and pointed. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds <br />View, Ramsey County, Minnesota to approves the revised job descriptions and authorizes <br />the review and repointing of the job descriptions. <br />Adopted this 11th day of December, 2017. <br />Carol A Mueller, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />Nyle Zikmund, Interim City Administrator <br />(seal) <br />
