RESOLUTION NO. 8877 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION APPOINTING A COMPREHENSIVE PLAN TASKFORCE <br />WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View is required by MN Statute §473.864, Subd 2 to <br />update its Comprehensive Plan and submit it to the Metropolitan Council for review by <br />December 31, 2018; and, <br />WHEREAS, at its June 6, 2016 City Council Work Session, the City Council consented <br />to creating a nine member Comprehensive Plan Taskforce, representing (1) City Council, (2) <br />Economic Development Commission, (2) Parks and Recreation and Forestry Commission, (2) <br />Planning and Zoning Commission, and (2) At -Large Residents; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Comprehensive Plan Taskforce will provide guidance to Staff and <br />consultants in writing the Comprehensive Plan, and is intended to meet January — spring, 2018, <br />as needed; and, <br />WHEREAS, each applicable advisory commission discussed the Taskforce during its <br />November, 2017 commission meetings. Each commission recommended two of its members to <br />be appointed to the Taskforce; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City Council discussed the Council representative during its December <br />4, 2017 Work Session, consenting to drawing a name out of a hat; and, <br />WHEREAS, residents were solicited though the Mounds View Matters newsletter, and <br />from recommendations from City Council members, advisory commissioners, and from Staff. <br />Staff contacted those residents. Those interested in serving on the Taskforce, submitted an <br />application to the City, which were reviewed by the City Council at its December 11, 2017 <br />meeting; and, <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the City Council hereby appoints the <br />following to the Mounds View Comprehensive Plan Taskforce: <br />
