Item 09B <br />January 2, 2018 <br />Last year and in years previous, the Council selected the St. Paul Pioneer Press as the City's <br />secondary newspaper. Since the Pioneer Press is a daily newspaper, it would certainly be <br />acceptable for the Council to select the Pioneer Press as the City's secondary newspaper. <br />The attached resolution appoints the treasurer consistent with Section 6.04 of the City Charter, <br />and also lists the city job positions that are authorized to conduct banking and investment <br />business on behalf of the City. <br />Recommendation: <br />Designate the City's Acting Mayor, Official Newspaper and adopt Resolution 8882. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Nyle Zikmund <br />
