The Police Evidence Technician was promoted to Police Support <br />Manager and the position of Police Administrative Assistant was created. Chief Harder <br />posted the position and Human Resources Coordinator Ewald ran the recruitment <br />process. <br />Discussion <br />A posting based on the job description was accomplished and published for 10 working <br />days on the Cities Web Site as well as the League of Minnesota Cities Web site. One <br />hundred four (104) applications were received by the deadline (twenty-one (21) <br />applications were received after the deadline). The applications were scored with nine <br />(9) individuals being interviewed by police department personnel and Human Resources <br />Coordinator Ewald. <br />Recommendation <br />The panel unanimously is recommending the Council offer/appoint Ms. Karla Keys to <br />the position of Police Administrative Assistant starting January 16, 2018. Due to her 13 <br />years' experience with two other police departments, the panel is recommending she <br />start at Level 2 in the 2018 compensation plan, complete a six-month probationary <br />period, and move to Level 3 upon her one year anniversary. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />yla Sue Ewald <br />Human Resources Coordinator <br />
