DRAFT MILITARY LEAVE POLICY — January 2018 <br />G. MILITARY LEAVE (Minn. Stat. § 192.26) <br />Leave duration of 1 to 15 days <br />Employees who are members of any reserve component of the military forces of <br />the United States or National Guard will be granted leaves of absence with <br />compensation not to exceed 15 working days per year when ordered to training or <br />active service. The City must receive a copy of the orders from the proper authority <br />directing the employee to report to duty. MilitaFy leave beyond 15 days for <br />or tFaining will be without pay as provided by law. <br />Leave duration in excess of 15 days <br />Employees who are members of any reserve component of the military forces of <br />the United States or National Guard will be granted leaves of absence. The City <br />must receive a copy of the orders from the proper authority directing the employee <br />to report to duty. For leaves in excess of 15 days the City will, by resolution, <br />address compensation specific to "differential pay" which is defined as an amount <br />equal to the difference between the member's base active duty military salary and <br />the salary the member would be paid as an active employee, including any <br />adiustments the member would have received if not on leave of absence.
