Mounds View City Council January 8, 2018 <br />Regular Meeting Page 11 <br />1 Mayor Mueller indicated the 60th Anniversary Celebration Committee would be meeting on <br />2 Tuesday, January 9th at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall in the Conference Room. <br />3 <br />4 Mayor Mueller reported she would be attending a leadership conference on Friday, January 26th <br />5 and Saturday, January 27th. She explained the focus of this conference would be on <br />6 communication. <br />7 <br />8 Mayor Mueller stated last week she attended a merit badge session with four scouts from Troop <br />9 #267. <br />10 <br />11 Mayor Mueller explained she received a letter from the Ralph Reeder Food Shelf thanking the <br />12 City of Mounds View for their generous donations in December of 2017. She reported the food <br />13 shelf was able to get well stocked in preparation for families in need in 2018. She noted the food <br />14 shelf was seeking a new location as they would have to move out of Pike Lake Elementary <br />15 School. <br />16 <br />17 B. Reports of Staff. <br />18 <br />19 City Administrator Zikmund stated The Boulevard project would be reviewed by the Council <br />20 again on January 22nd <br />21 <br />22 City Administrator Zikmund reported staff would be updating the City's website to include <br />23 further information on the INH Development being proposed for Crossroad Pointe. <br />24 <br />25 City Administrator Zikmund reviewed the proposed agenda for the Council retreat that would be <br />26 held on Monday, January 29th. <br />27 <br />28 City Administrator Zilcmund commented on the Engineering Tech job description and noted the <br />29 education requirements had been changed which would lower the hourly wage. <br />30 <br />31 City Administrator Zikmund reviewed the February worksession agenda with the Council. <br />32 <br />33 Public Works Director Peterson provided the Council with a progress report on the Public Works <br />34 Facility. He stated staff would begin moving equipment into the new facility on Tuesday, <br />35 January 9th. He noted one truck would remain in Blaine (the Vactor) in order to keep this bay <br />36 open for the contractor. <br />37 <br />38 Public Works Director Peterson reported the recently purchased plow truck was working great <br />39 for the City. He stated interviews for the Superintendent position would be held on January 22nd <br />40 and 23`d <br />41 <br />42 Finance Director Beer asked where the Council wanted to meet for their retreat on Monday, <br />43 January 29th. Council consensus was to meet at Random Park at 6:30 p.m. <br />44 <br />45 C. Reports of City Attorney. <br />
