Item No: 6.B. <br />018 <br />MQL-N-::DS V <br />WW Meeting Date: January 22, sent <br />Type of Business: Council Consent <br />Administrator Review: <br />City of Mounds View Staff Report <br />To: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From: Mark Beer, Finance Director <br />Item Title/Subject: Resolution 8893 Accepting Miscellaneous Cash Donations <br />for 2017 <br />Introduction: <br />Pursuant to MN Statute § 465.03, the City is required to accept donations by resolution. <br />The attached resolution provides for this acceptance for several miscellaneous donations <br />that were received in 2017. <br />Discussion: <br />Total miscellaneous donations received by the City in 2017 were $19,772, $7,964 was <br />from Twin Cities Gateway to advertise the Festival in the Park and improve the City <br />website, $1,000 for staff training from the League of MN Cities, $75 was designated for <br />Park Trees, $6,995 for police protective gear and safety equipment, $481 for bowling - <br />with -a -cop event, $1,769 for shop -with -a -cop event, and $1,488 was designated for <br />supporting K9 activities by the various donors. <br />Recommendation: <br />Attached for your consideration is Resolution 8893, a resolution which accepts the <br />miscellaneous donations received in 2017. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />'Mark Beer <br />Finance Director <br />
