Mounds View City Council January 2, 2018 <br />Regular Meeting Page 6 <br />2 Ayes — 5 Nays — 0 Motion carried. <br />3 <br />4 C. Resolution 8883, Appointing City Council Members and City Staff as <br />5 Representatives for City Commissions and Other Organizations. <br />6 <br />7 City Administrator Zikmund requested the Council appoint City Council members and City staff <br />8 as representatives for City Commission and other organizations. He reviewed the list of past <br />9 appointments with the Council and explained a representative to the Blaine/Mounds View Spring <br />10 Lake Park Fire Board was no longer needed. He discussed the importance of the Anoka County <br />11 Fire Board representative being in attendance at the fall meeting. He commented on how the <br />12 Human Resources Committee would have formal agendas and would be making <br />13 recommendations to the City Council. <br />14 <br />15 Finance Director Beer encouraged the Council to keep the same two Council Members on the <br />16 Human Resources Committee for continuity proposes. Council Member Meehlhause and <br />17 Council Member Hull were both willing to continue serving on the Human Resources <br />18 Committee. <br />19 <br />20 Mayor Mueller noted Human Resources Technician Rayla Ewald would now be serving on the <br />21 Human Resources Committee. <br />22 <br />23 Mayor Mueller reported she was willing to continue to serve on the Ramsey County League of <br />24 Local Government. She stated she would be happy to continue as the League of Minnesota <br />25 Cities representative with Council Member Gunn serving as the alternate. She explained she <br />26 would continue her position with the North Metro Mayor's Association with Council Member <br />27 Gunn serving as the alternate. Mayor Mueller commented she would also serve as the liaison for <br />28 Metro Cities. <br />29 <br />30 Council consensus was to support the Mayor in these positions. <br />31 <br />32 Council Member Gunn indicated she would like to continue serving on the I -35W Coalition. <br />33 Mayor Mueller thanked Council Member Gunn for her great work with this organization. <br />34 Council Member Hull stated he could serve as the alternate for this group. <br />35 <br />36 Council Member Meehlhause indicated he could continue as the representative for the Minnesota <br />37 North Metro Tourism Board. <br />38 <br />39 Council Member Meehlhause stated he was willing to serve as the YMCA Advisory Committee <br />40 representative with Council Member Hull acting as the alternate. <br />41 <br />42 Mayor Mueller stated she would need a volunteer to serve as the NSCC/NSAC representative. <br />43 Council Member Bergeron volunteered for this position and Finance Director Beer would act as <br />44 the alternate. <br />45 <br />
