RESOLUTION 8929 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF SECURITY CAMERAS FOR THE <br />PUBLIC WORKS BUILDING <br />WHEREAS, The City Council has taken steps to improve security around City facilities <br />with the installation of cameras: and <br />WHEREAS, The City Council previously authorized the installation of network cables <br />in new Public Works building to facilitate the installation of security cameras; and <br />WHEREAS, the cost of the cameras was not included in the quote with the installation <br />of the network cable; and <br />WHEREAS, Public Works Staff received the cost of the cameras of $7,134.75 from the <br />Roseville IT Department; and <br />WHEREAS, Public Works Staff met with the Finance Director and discussed options <br />for to purchase the cameras; and <br />WHEREAS, The Special Project Funds budget has $10,000 budgeted for Park building <br />video and door lock improvements, and the Finance Director recommended using these funds <br />to pay for the cameras. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds <br />View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br />1. Approves the purchase of cameras for the Public Works building at a cost of $7,134.75. <br />2. Funding for the purchase of the cameras will be from the 2018 Special Project Funds <br />budget, 480-4180-7030. <br />Adopted this 12th day of March, 2018 <br />QWZeZ <br />Carol A.
