CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />OFFICE OF THE MAYOR <br />PROCLAMATION <br />PROCLAIMING MAY 7, 2009 AS "ARBOR DAY" <br />WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View has been recognized for 27 consecutive <br />years as Tree City USA by the National Arbor Day Foundation for its efforts in urban <br />forestry; and <br />WHEREAS, trees in our City beautify our surroundings, shade our parks and <br />residences, increase property values and enhance the economic vitality of business <br />areas, and <br />WHEREAS, Students of Pinewood Elementary will be planting trees at <br />Greenfield Park; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that May 7, 2009, be declared Arbor <br />Day in Mounds View and public-spirited and foresighted citizens be called upon to <br />assist in the planting of trees now for the use and enjoyment of present and future <br />generations. <br />Adopted this 27th day of April, 2009 <br />Flaherty, <br />(seal) <br />
