Resolution 8933, Approving Animal Impound Services Agreement with Otter <br />Lake Animal Care Center. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller thanked the Police Department for being proactive in finding a location for <br />impounded animal services. She asked if Otter Lake Animal Care Center had overnight services. <br />City Administrator Zikmund stated he was uncertain, but suspected this shelter did offer <br />overnight services. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Bergeron. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 8933, <br />Approving Animal Impound Services Agreement with Otter Lake Animal Care Center. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />6. PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> <br />Bob King, representative for the Mounds View Police Foundation, encouraged the public to visit <br />Texas Roadhouse on Tuesday, April 3rd where 10% of all food proceeds will be donated to the <br />Mounds View Police Foundation. He reported on Sunday, April 22nd the foundation would be <br />hosting Bowling with a Cop. He stated a Cops versus Hoses Softball game event is being <br />planned and this is scheduled for Saturday, July 28th. <br /> <br />7. SPECIAL ORDER OF BUSINESS <br /> A. Northeast Youth and Family Services President/CEO Jerry Hromatka. <br /> <br />Jerry Hromatka, Northeast Youth and Family Services President/CEO, thanked the Council for <br />their time. He provided the Council with an update from NYFS and described the great work <br />being completed by his organization for children 5 to 21 years old. He reported 4,000 youth, <br />adults and families were serviced in 2017. He explained NYFS offers programs that focus on <br />mental health, day treatment and community services. He reviewed the revenue sources utilized <br />by his organization noting he has seen a shift away from contracts towards fees and grants. He <br />described the services that were provided to Mounds View residents in 2017 and highlighted the <br />City’s return on investment. The current community trends were reviewed with the Council. He <br />invited the Council to participate in the NYFS Leadership Lunch on Wednesday, May 2nd and the <br />Mayor’s Challenge Golf Tournament on Monday, June 11th. Mr. Hromatka thanked the City <br />Council for their continued support and asked for comments or questions. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause discussed the great work being done in the community by NYFS <br />and stated it has been a real honor to serve on the NYFS board. <br />
