CALL MEETING TO ORDER <br /> <br />President Mueller called the meeting to order at 6:01 p.m. <br /> <br />2. ROLL CALL: President Mueller, Vice President Gunn, Commissioner Hull, <br />Commissioner Meehlhause, and Executive Director Zikmund. <br /> <br /> NOT PRESENT: Commissioner Bergeron. <br /> <br />3. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Hull. To Approve the January 22, 2018, Agenda as <br />presented. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />4. PUBLIC INPUT <br /> <br />Bill Urbanski, 2367 Sherwood Road, spoke against the location of a gun club and indoor <br />shooting range at the Crossroad Pointe development site. He stated he was wearing his <br />Environmental Health and Safety Committee shirt this evening noting he served on the White <br />Bear Lake Health and Safety Committee for five years. He explained one of his responsibilities <br />on this committee was to ensure due diligence in providing health and safety for students, staff <br />and faculty. He encouraged the EDA and City Council to take on this same responsibility. He <br />commented on the amount of lead contamination created by gun clubs and indoor shooting <br />ranges and encouraged the Council to research this topic further. He stated he was not opposed <br />to First Amendment rights but was opposed to having a gun club adjacent to market rate <br />apartments and a senior high rise. He encouraged the Council to further review his handout. <br /> <br />5. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br /> A. December 11, 2017, EDA Minutes. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Hull. To Approve the December 11, 2017, Minutes as presented. <br />
