<br />ACCEPT BID AND AWARD CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT TO
<br />NORTHWEST ASPHALT FOR THE BUSINESS PARK NORTH
<br />PAVEMENT REHABILITATION PROJECT
<br />WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View is considering to rehabilitate Business Park
<br />North (Program Ave, Quincy Street, Woodale Dr, Clifton Dr.); and,
<br />WHEREAS, this project will include pavement rehabilitation and drainage
<br />improvements; and,
<br />WHEREAS, this project is proposed to be assessed in accordance with Chapter
<br />202 of the Municipal Code; and,
<br />WHEREAS, the City Council has approved the plans and specifications and
<br />authorized the advertisement for bid Resolution 8923; and,
<br />WHEREAS, this project was advertised a minimum of 21 days as required; and,
<br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for City Project 2017 C-10 the
<br />Business Park North Pavement Rehabilitation, bids were received, opened and
<br />tabulated according to the law, and the following bids were received complying with the
<br />advertisement; and,
<br />WHEREAS, the low bidder is Northwest Asphalt of Shakopee MN for the Business
<br />Park North Street Rehabilitation (Program Ave, Quincy St, Woodale Dr, Clifton Dr.); and,
<br />WHEREAS, Stantec has provided a fee estimate to provide engineering services
<br />for the construction phase of this project, for a maximum estimated fee of $19,973.50;
<br />and,
<br />WHEREAS, American Engineering and Testing and Services (AET) provided a
<br />proposed estimated fee of $11,772.00 for the concrete and bituminous material testing
<br />during the construction of Business Park North.
