Permitted uses. <br />Any of the following uses are permitted, provided that the floor area of all buildings in any <br />one NC neighborhood commercial district shall not exceed 3,000 square feet: <br />(1) Bakery or candy shop for the production of goods sold on the premises. <br />(2) Beauty parlor or barbershop. <br />(3) Dry cleaner or laundromat. All odors must be controlled so as not to be noticeable to <br />adjacent residents. <br />(4) Office or medical and dental clinics. <br />(5) Repair shop, except for motorized vehicles. No work shall be performed outside of the <br />building. <br />(6) Drugstore, hardware or grocery store. <br />(7) Studio. <br />(8) Tailor or dressmaker shop. <br />(9) Veterinary or grooming clinic where there are no outside kennels or storage. <br />(10) Videotape rentals. <br />(11) Printing shop. <br />(Code 1982, § 36-127) <br />Sec. 44-428. Accessory uses. <br />Accessory uses within an NC neighborhood commercial district are as follows: <br />(1) Off-street parking. <br />(2) Signs, in accordance with article III of this chapter. <br />(Code 1982, § 36-128) <br />Sec. 44-429. Conditional uses. <br />Conditional uses for an NC neighborhood commercial district require council approval. Any <br />of the following conditional uses are permitted, provided that the floor area of all buildings in <br />any one NC district shall not exceed 8,000 square feet: <br />(1) Any permitted use listed in section 44-427. <br />(2) Club, lodge or hall. <br />(3) Private school, day care center or community service use. <br />(4) Taxistand or bus stop. <br />(5) Restaurant, where there are no drive -up order windows or serving of food to patrons <br />in their automobiles. All cooking odors must be controlled so as not to be noticeable to <br />adjacent residents. <br />CD44:63 <br />
