Mounds View City Council April 23, 2018 <br />Regular Meeting Page 4 <br /> <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />9. REPORTS <br />A. Reports of Mayor and Council. <br /> <br />Council Member Gunn stated she attended the Getting to Know the Sound of Music at Pinewood <br />Elementary School last Saturday afternoon along with Council Member Bergeron and Council <br />Member Meehlhause. <br /> <br />Council Member Gunn commented she attended Bowling with a Cop last Sunday with Council <br />Member Meehlhause and Mayor Mueller. She thanked the Mounds View Police Officers and the <br />members of the Mounds View Police Foundation for their assistance with this event. <br /> <br />Council Member Bergeron discussed the fine theater program that was in please at Pinewood <br />Elementary School. He stated last Thursday he attended the North Suburban Cable Commission <br />appreciation dinner along with the Mayor. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause commented the musical at Pinewood Elementary School was <br />fantastic. He reviewed his upcoming meeting schedule noting he would be attending an NYFS <br />meeting on Thursday. He stated next Tuesday he would be attending the Rotary Luncheon along <br />with the Mayor and City Administrator Zikmund. Council Member Meehlhause reported he <br />would be attending the NYFS Leadership Luncheon on Wednesday, May 2nd. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller thanked the Council and staff for attending the recent Council Retreat at Random <br />Park. She noted the Council took a detailed look at its long-term finances and was working to <br />address the levy reduction fund. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller explained the Festival in the Park Committee met on Tuesday, April 17th. She <br />indicated this group was planning a street dance for Friday, August 17th along with the Festival <br />events for Saturday, August 18th. She encouraged any resident interested in volunteering for this <br />event to attend the next Festival in the Park Committee meeting which would be held on <br />Tuesday, May 15th at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller stated she attended the CTV Appreciation Dinner on Wednesday, April 18th <br />along with Council Member Bergeron. She reported she attended an LMC Safety and Loss <br />Control Workshop in Brooklyn Park on Thursday, April 19th. She commented further on the <br />sessions she attended at this event. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller indicated she had a great time at the Bowling with a Cop event held on Sunday, <br />April 22nd. She reported she would be attending the Minnesota Chiefs of Police Conference in <br />Duluth, Minnesota with City Administrator Zikmund and Police Chief Harder Tuesday of this <br />week. She commented on the sessions she would be attending at this conference. <br />
