PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 585-99 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING ADOPTION OF PROPOSED ORDINANCE 632, AN <br />ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 1113 OF THE MOUNDS VIEW ZONING CODE <br />PERTAINING TO PERMITTED USES WITHIN THE B-2, LIMITED BUSINESS <br />DISTRICT; SPECIAL PLANNING CASE NO. SP -082-99 <br />WHEREAS, the Mounds View Planning Commission has reviewed proposed Ordinance <br />632, an ordinance amending Chapter 1113 of the Mounds View Zoning Code; and, <br />WHEREAS, Chapter 1113 of the Mounds View Zoning Code pertains to the B-2, <br />Limited Business district; and, <br />WHEREAS, the purpose of the B-2 zoning district, as stated in Section 1113.01, is to <br />provide for low intensity, retail or service outlets which deal directly with the customer for whom <br />the goods or services are furnished; and, <br />WHEREAS, the list of allowed uses as presented in Section 1113.02, Subdivisions 1 and <br />2, does not include "Private educational facilities;" and, <br />WHEREAS, it is the finding of the Mounds View Planning Commission that this use is <br />sufficiently similar to other listed uses and is considered to be an appropriate use for this district. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Mounds View Planning Commission <br />hereby recommends to the City Council that proposed Ordinance 632 be adopted to permit <br />private educational facilities within the B-2, Limited Business commercial zoning district. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Planning Commission directs Staff to forward <br />this resolution to the City Council prior to approval of the minutes. <br />Adopted this 7th day of July, 1999. <br />z <br />Jerry Peter n, thairperson <br />ATTEST: <br />a j <br />Ricklopke, Commu 'ty Development Director <br />(SEAL) <br />N:\DATA\GROUPS\COMDEV\SPECPROASP072-99\585-99PC.RES <br />
