Dear Resident:
Throughout the past years, you may have heard about the possible installation of a traffic signal
at the intersection of Pleasantview Drive and T.H. 10. This project has been visited by the City of
Spring Lake Park, MnDot, Anoka County and the City of Mounds View since the late 1970's. It
appears that some special hazard reduction funding has been approved by MnDot for this project.
Anoka County is the lead agency in this traffic light project and is scheduling the possible
installation for later this summer.
The City of Mounds View has been requested to provide twelve and one half per cent (12.5%) of
the signal cost. The City Council would like to consider input from the residents, prior to
committing funds for this project. If approved by the Council, it is anticipated the funds will be
taken from the City's Municipal State Aid (MSA) account. This fund is also utilized for MSA
street maintenance and reconstruction. Mounds View's share of the project would cost
approximately $16,250.00.
The resident's approval or rejection of the signal may affect the City Council's decision whether
to provide funding to the project, but may not ultimately affect the decision regarding the
installation of the signal.
Please respond to the following questions and return the bottom half of the page to, City of
Mounds View, 2466 Bronson Drive, Mounds View MN. 55112. You may also fax your
responses to 612-784-0548, or E -Mail to [mikeu@remnet.org]. The questionnaire is limited to
one per household. Please provide your name and address for verification. Thank you for your
time and input. PLEASE RESPOND BY JULY 23,1999.
Yes / No Are you in favor of a traffic signal at the intersection of
Pleasantview Drive and T.H. 10?
Yes / No Should the City of Mounds View contribute funds to the signal
project at Pleasantview Drive and T.H. 10?
Name
Address
