Mounds View City Council February 26, 2018 <br />Regular Meeting Page 15 <br />1 research completed on TCAAP, the City of Mounds View's development options would be <br />2 expanded in the future and not hindered. He reported this was confirmed for him this past <br />3 weekend by an Arden Hills City Council Member. <br />4 <br />5 Council Member Meehlhause stated Council Member Bergeron was absolutely correct that if TIF <br />6 was offered to INH, the City would still be paid a small portion of property taxes. He noted <br />7 MedTronic was within a TIF District. He explained he went back and forth on this project but <br />8 understood the consensus was to move forward with INH. He described how the Council <br />9 worked together as a team on behalf of the community. He discussed the shared values at his <br />10 former corporation and noted he would be supporting the amendment on the floor. <br />11 <br />12 Mayor Mueller called the question. <br />13 <br />14 Ayes — 3 Nays — 2 (Hull and Mayor Mueller) Motion carried. <br />15 <br />16 AMENDED MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Bergeron. To Waive the Second Reading and <br />17 Adopt Ordinance 939, Amending Chapter 702 of the Mounds View Municipal Code Relating to <br />18 the Discharge of Weapons within the City, removing Exception 5, Section B. <br />19 <br />20 Mayor Mueller stated she would have rather tabled action on the Ordinance but noted she would <br />21 be supporting the Ordinance coming into compliance with State Statute. <br />22 <br />23 ROLL CALL: Bergeron/Gunn/Hull/Meehlhause/Mueller. <br />24 <br />25 Ayes — 4 Nays — 1 (Hull) Motion carried. <br />26 <br />27 Mayor Mueller called for a recess of the City Council meeting at 9:10 p.m. <br />28 <br />29 Mayor Mueller reconvened the City Council meeting at 9:21 p.m. <br />30 <br />31 C. Resolution 8910, Adopting 2018 Council Goals and Priorities. <br />32 <br />33 City Administrator Zikmund requested the Council adopt the 2018 Council goals and priorities. <br />34 He noted the Council has been discussing their long-term and short-term goals since November <br />35 of 2017.
