Mounds View City Council March 12, 2018 <br />Regular Meeting Page 5 <br />1 Public Works Director Peterson requested the Council approve the plans and specifications for <br />2 the Business Park North Street rehabilitation project. He discussed the history of this project and <br />3 noted the future project timeline. He anticipated the Council would be awarding the bid for this <br />4 project on April 23rd with construction beginning yet this spring. <br />5 <br />6 MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Hull. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 8923, <br />7 Approving the Plans and Specifications for the Business Park North Street Rehabilitation. <br />8 <br />9 Council Member Meehlhause stated he was happy to see this project moving forward as it would <br />10 greatly benefit the businesses along Program Avenue. <br />11 <br />12 Mayor Mueller asked if the City would have a hotline in place to keep impacted businesses <br />13 informed on the upcoming street rehabilitation project. Public Works Director Peterson stated <br />14 staff has discussed having a hotline in place. <br />15 <br />16 Ayes — 5 Nays — 0 Motion carried. <br />17 <br />18 G. Resolution 8925, Approving a Maintenance Agreement for the Drainage <br />19 Channel in Silver View Park with Ramsey County. <br />20 <br />21 Public Works Director Peterson requested the Council approve a maintenance agreement for the <br />22 drainage channel in Silver View Park with Ramsey County. He explained in 2017 the City saw <br />23 some drainage problems along Mounds View Boulevard at County Road I. He indicated City <br />24 staff identified an area in Silver View Park that was the source of the slow drainage and backups <br />25 for this area of the City. He discussed the re -profiling work that was needed to correct the <br />26 problem and recommended the Council approve the proposed maintenance agreement with <br />27 Ramsey County. <br />28 <br />29 Mayor Mueller asked who should be contacted regarding drainage concerns in this area of the <br />30 City. Public Works Director Peterson encouraged members of the community to contact Public <br />31 Works with any drainage concerns. <br />32 <br />33 MOTION/SECOND: Hull/Meehlhause. Resolution 8929, Authorizing the Purchase of Security Cameras for the <br />40 Public Works Building. <br />41 <br />42 Public Works Director Peterson requested the Council authorize the purchase of security cameras <br />43 for the Public Works building. He stated the building had cables in place but had not budgeted <br />44 for the cameras. He estimated the camera expense to be $7,134.75 noting staff would install the <br />45 cameras in-house. He discussed how the cameras would be funded and recommended approval <br />
